Ronaldo and Vanessa DaSilva opened Café De Minas at 282 High St. in April 2022. Ronaldo also owns Clinton Family Meat Market on High Street, a few storefronts down from the café. Ronaldo and Vanessa have been together for 10 years and married for six.
Ronaldo has been a butcher for over 20 years. He started in Brazil and continued to work as a butcher here in Massachusetts until he and his brother decided to open their own butcher shop in Marlborough in 2014.
Ronaldo now splits his time between the meat market and the café. Vanessa works as a therapist during the day and helps at the bakery in the evening and/or on weekends.
Ronaldo noticed that the Brazilian community was growing in Clinton and decided to expand the business. Initially, he wanted to find a space that would fit the two businesses together, but it ended up working out that there were two spaces available in our little plaza.
Ronaldo enjoys interacting with the community. He loves teaching people who are not familiar with Brazilian products or foods about them and answering any questions they may have.
We want to be a safe and welcoming space for all to come take a break from their day to enjoy some delicious food and company.
We value our community and families. We invite regulars to come often, chat with staff, and connect with their families.
We serve a variety of Brazilian food from mouth watering burgers to yummy desserts and fresh squeezed orange juice.
We prioritize quality and taste in all of the food and beverages we offer. We want to make sure you leave feeling nourished and happy.
